why I married him
Tonight, as we pulled out of the driveway to go to dinner, Wade said, “It’s like Prince William Sound out here, with the glaciers and the ice floes and . . . . What? WHAT???”
He’s right. But it made me laugh anyway.

And this is interesting..
A MIXTURE OF FREEZING RAIN…SLEET AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER
SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS TONIGHT BEFORE
GRADUALLY TRANSITIONING OT A SNOW AND SLEET MIXTURE
This would be your forecast!Where is the actual transition?
Hang in there!

Prince William Sound? My, isn’t he well-versed in geography. How many people know where that is?
They do get a lot of snow there though.

At least there were no oil spills. I HOPE.

Annika, there WERE a series of oil-covered-baby-penguin jokes. Also some references to how many drinks Wade might have had (none, but it was funny anyway).
Anonymous, I love that forecast. Why don’t they just say WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN? Because that seems to be the message, doesn’t it?
No snow. Yet. Some freezing rain. Not much. But it’s still early.

I’ve been thinking about all of you and trying not to complain about our 20ยข mornings.
We have a little ice but no snow.

I’m so glad you two went out to dinner. (I didn’t know where to put the emphasis in that sentence, because it’s just so great. It’s hard to choose which is the best part, the “you two” or the “out” or the “dinner.”)
I hope you stocked up on wine and bread and milk and trashy magazines and perhaps a few sanity-saving new toys?

We keep getting “snow flurries possible” and then we get this little bit of nothing. Not even enough to cover a windshield. What’s the deal? Did the weather gods confuse Minnesota and Oklahoma?
P.S. Prince William Sound is lovely, but nothing beats Lake Louise for drop-dead gorgeous.

Prince William Sound eh? Better hope Captain Hazelwood isn’t driving a tanker truck around your neighborhood…..

heh.
I love how my husband makes me laugh with the geeky things we share.
Or even when I say that a fudgesicle is flaccid.

It was a passive-agressive comment. I’m sure of it. There was even a tone in his voice. I can tell.
Chin up, Nanook.
