tired mama
A photo essay by Henry.

Four hours of sleep, people! Look at the necklace! Don’t look anywhere else!

I can sleep sitting up. Can’t you?

Possibly an attempt to do some yoga stretching. Or to escape by crawling out of the room when Charlie isn’t looking. Hard to tell.

Charlie: Look, Mama, the pirates are on their ship! And they have their SWORDS! And some GUNS! But where are their hats? Can you help me find their hats?
Me: Uuuunnnnnhhhh . . . .

Mama? Mama? Wake up, Mama, and play with pirates! Mama?
Henry, I think we’re in trouble.

Quinn has that same green shirt, and they have a lot of similar physical characteristics (as do Henry and Bryce). I love the one of Charlie over you on the ground, tentatively checking things out. HAHA!!

Is that a play kitchen in the bedroom? My kid would NEVER sleep if she had one of those babies in her bedroom.

Charlie is so cute! He looks similar to my J!
Oh and I only got 4 hours of sleep the other night too… I didn’t look nearly as good as you do!

Oh my goodness, this was so great! I too love the skirt and think Charlie is the bomb in his new cute glasses!
And I know all about the fucking insomnia! It sucks! Welcome to your late thirties!
Gah!

I’ve been inspired by that cute skirt to go pull on something other than the t-shirt I wore yesterday and slept in and drove Peanut to school in this morning.

I hate you just a teeny tiny little bit because you’re so cute and thin. But only in the *best* way.

Ooh, pretty necklace! And skirt! On the same day! Nice.
That is clearly escaping, no way to call that yoga stretching. We have that same pirate ship at grandma’s house, but somehow it’s not the hats that are always missing, it’s the HEADS. Creepy decapitated pirate toy.
I’m having a tired mommy life (oops, I mean day), too. Will have to try hiding my head under a chair next.

Love the outfit. Where did you get it? I want to dress like that but I can’t find things as cute.

Long shot, but do you remember where you got the emergency vehicles quilt? (On the bed in the pictures!)
My boy wants the pirate ship. AND the bedding.
Sigh.

a) you’re hott. geez. warn people before they get to the hottness and subsequently feel faint from viewing said hottness sans prep time.
b) that necklace. damn. however, it still didn’t distract from the hottness. just sayin’.
c) you’re hilarious. I practice the same yoga positions on a daily basis.
d) that is some kinda cute kid.

That is the best photo-essay I have seen. Love the picture of Charlie checking to make sure you’re still awake!
(and you’re one hot mama, tired or not.)
