“This is a pen!”
We’re all excited about The Lightning Thief, but not just because the movie looks great. These are easily the best books my kids have ever read, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to your kids. We also recommend that you read them with your kids, because they’re that good.

Hmm…I bought The Lightning Thief for my 8 year old son a couple of months ago and he won’t read it…even with me…says it’s too scary. I thought we could bond over it…I have a love of greek and roman mythology from university. Your kids didn’t find it too scary?

I LOVE these books. Just finished the fourth one last night, and Kerrianne and I will be attending the film on February 17th I believe.

My 9 year old son & I are just about done with the first book and it’s the type of book that I want to sneak into his room at night to borrow and finish reading. I’m not sure about seeing the movie though - thinking it might be too scary for the kids - depending on how they portray certain scenes. I find the movies always scarier than the books because with the books their imagination only lets them go as far as they’re ready whereas the movies sometimes put something in their head that they’re not ready for. Harry Potter was like that at times…

We bought tickets for the midnight showing (Thurs night/12:01am Fri) at Bricktown! Can’t wait! Personally, I want a set of the action figures for my desk.
