the pictures and commentary was great. thank you for letting us peek into a another view of the Olympics other than NBCs and i have to say the Johnsons ads make me so teary. perimenopausal hormones has NOTHING to do with it!

I have only been reading your blog for a month or so and didn’t know the trip you were taking was to the freakin’ OLYMPICS! On a trip you won no less (my mother won a trip to Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day over the radio once)! LOVED the picture of Michael Phelps and can’t wait to see more pictures and read about the trip.

So enjoyed your photos and perspective… though I must admit, while reading through Flickr… every time I saw “Forbidden City” I “heard” you saying it in a hushed, conspiratal (sp?) tone.
