about Friday Playdate
Friday Playdate is my personal blog; this is my day, in written form. I write about what’s happening in my head and my house, and about what interests or moves or annoys me. It all depends on the day.
Occasionally, I am paid for the content I create here at Friday Playdate; more frequently, I am offered products for review. Every so often, I get to host or be a guest at a sponsored event, which means that a PR firm or company takes care of the bills. All sponsored or compensated posts include a disclaimer, as do any posts about products that I was sent for review.
I also write about products and services that I have paid for with my own money, simply because I think they’re cool, and I think my readers will agree. I always distinguish between products I have purchased and products I have been sent for review. After all, if I paid for it, I might as well get the credit for finding it, right?
Right.
I am particular about what I accept for review, and I am careful about how I write about it. Sending me something doesn’t guarantee a good review — or any review at all. Offering me money in return for content doesn’t mean I’ll sign on to promote your company. I look for products and services that fit organically with my content and that are relevant to my life, since that’s what I write about, after all.
If you’re interested in talking with me about a collaboration, feel free to email me — but please take the time to look around a little first, and be sure that your product is a good fit for my site, and vice versa. I am also happy to talk with you about any of the products or companies or services that I’ve written about, either for pay or out of the goodness of my heart.
