orange you cute
Current balance for broken arm: $1,168.00.* Not including co-pays, or the ER bill, which we haven’t seen yet. Or all those OTHER doctor visits this month. Or the antibiotics or Henry’s meds, which cost TWICE as much now that we’re having them compounded. Or all the wine I’ve drunk since this started.
On the upside, this may be the LAST cast. We go back in two weeks and the doctor is pretty optimistic that the arm will be completely healed. And until then, he won’t get run over in the parking lot because you can see that orange cast about three blocks away.
*Before insurance. Thank GOD for insurance.

He’s too cute for words! I don’t think I could be as calm, or as collected, as you’ve been through this whole process. I practically pass out when my stepdaughter gets a splinter … mainly because I know the drama (and not really pain) in getting it out. Kudos to you for such a happy kid

My 2yo broke her leg last week and picked what color for her cast?? Yes, orange! Of course that would be because that’s the only color she knows. I was pushing pink, but a no go. 6 weeks of traffic cone orange over here! Pic of his partner in crime: http://tinyurl.com/65rsjr
I don’t want to even think about the copays/ER bills! Hope he heals up quick!

Once you’ve seen the ER bill, do yourself a favor and come back and read this post again because it will make you laugh like a maniac over thinking $1168 was a LOT of money.
We paid that much to the ER for TWO (two, count them TWO) staples in my daughter’s head when she fell and bonked it on the coffee table. And that was after the ginormous discount we received for being ‘preferred’ by virtue of our insurance company. So, yeah.
Glad he’s on the mend. What a cute picture!

We are also thankful for health insurance.
Those two are mighty smooshable, aren’t they?

You may want to look into what that talking duck is selling. We just got some and we hope to never use it, but if we do we will be paid.
I love that orange cast. Heal fast boy, your mom needs a little break.

Just curious, how many x-rays have been taken of his arm, in this whole process?
My 3yo daughter had a problem with her knee, but it’s clearly not broken. We’ve had SEVEN sets of x-rays since Easter.
Did you see the part where it’s NOT BROKEN??!! It’s inflamed, but apparently nothing more than that.

Anna, I had to count, but he’s had eight sets of X rays in the past three weeks. Wonder what that’s going to cost us … (Hope your daughter feels better!)
Elizabeth, the bag is available at Nordstrom. It truly is awesome, isn’t it?

Thank you. She’s not better yet, but I think she’s on the mend.
After insurance, it was around $30 per visit.
I feel a little better, knowing he’s had more x-rays.

Poor little guy.
Of course, the cute makes up for a lot of it.
