liveblogging is always better in theory (much like communism)
Not shopping is also better in theory. Just so you know.
I did NOT shop today. (Okay I may perhaps have bought a lip gloss that smells JUST LIKE sugar cookies, but that’s it!) (And maybe another lip gloss that TOTALLY matched the Clinique gloss that I was literally SCRAPING the last dregs out of.) (And possibly an “eye lighter” which is like a cross between an eye LINER and a face lift.)
(And I may also have ordered the Universe’s Best Face Cream, because I am almost out and I NEED MY FACE CREAM.)
(But otherwise, no shopping.)
The fridge is completely empty, which means that my in-laws back up fridge is jam packed with condiments. Our trash can is pretty full too because I tossed EVERYTHING that even REMOTELY seemed dangerous to consume after god knows how long in the broken fridge (mayo, eggs, yogurt, salad dressing that had actually expired a couple months ago but that I had totally forgotten about until today). All of this leaves us with Pop Tarts and beer in the house.
The beer is in the wine fridge, in case you’re wondering. With all the cheese. We’ll see how that goes.
I did learn today that one of the virtues of high end refrigerators is that they have CASTORS on them, which meant that when I went to move the fridge, all by myself, IN A DRESS, so that I could unplug it to defrost, it just glided across the tile floor. Which was worth every dime. Really.
And now I have to go get ready to meet my husband for dinner, because there is no way I’m cooking tonight. Instead I will perhaps be drinking a nice margarita, while wearing some hypothetical lip gloss that smells like sugar cookies.
Or maybe I should try the other one, with the margarita at least.

The eggs would probably have been fine. In many countries they store them at room temp. I’ve also used eggs WAY beyond their expiration date (way back in college days).

Our fridge broke last year. We called Sears to schedule a repair and were shocked to learn that since it was a Kenmore we had to wait almost three weeks to have someone come and diagnose it. My husband went out and bought a mini fridge and we stuffed everything that we hadn’t already thrown out into it. When they finally came, they were thankfully able to fix it the same day. How can they expect you to wait that long for your fridge to be fixed??

Did I miss something? why aren’t you shopping? Also did you find something to write about today because I am in dire need of help.
