Aren't we the sickies? I have a sinus infection and I can barely feel the keys as I type. And yes, I think those are related phenomena. Phenomenon? Whatever.

But I got the crappy generic Zithromax stuff that never, ever works for me but that my doctor insists on giving me first. So we'll go through the five days and I'll still feel like crap so then I'll have to take the big boys, as it were.

I don't know about Tylenol, but I do know that after taking an entire box of Benadryl you can still pee.

My doctor gave me this tidbit: there's a mg/kg dosage on all meds that is not written on the package. The directions on the package are conservative - lawsuits and all that, so you can generally go higher quite safely. You could phone your doctor and find out what the dosage for your own personal weight actually is.

i hate a doctor without a sense of humor. where's the fun in the ER if you can't crack a few jokes?

sending well wishes and hopes for LOTS of good rest and a few shots of redneck medicine.

Susan, this is one of my biggest rants - that most people *have* to self-diagnose these days. It's either that or have a drug thrown at you every time you go to the dr., regardless of what your problem might be. We don't have time, so here's a prescription! Bye now! I like Chag's suggestion about mentioning WebMD, too. Rub a little salt in it, you know?!

Hausfrau, I think you're right. I have a very funny ob/gyn (who cracked jokes WHILE delivering my children!) but she's useless to me in any crisis not involving my girl parts, sadly. So yes, I will get me a good practical doctor. ASAP. But funny! Like, uh, George Clooney funny. Mmmmmm . . . .
