in the interest of fairness

My goodness, you people are full of good suggestions! And, in the interest of fairness and full disclosure, here are my answers, too.

1. My favorite personal care product: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 45(for summer) and Clinique City Block SPF 25 (for winter)–that Intuition razor is a close second, though.

2. What I am serving for dinner–tonight, tomorrow, whenever!: I was holding out for take-out, but in the end I made chicken fajitas. AND I cooked last night and it nearly did me in (grilled pork chops, oven-roasted new potatos, and a nice green salad). Tomorrow: Macaroni Grill!

3. My favorite drink recipie: I likes me a good Long Island Iced Tea, although who actually has all that booze on hand at any given time? Tonight I broke down and had a couple of glasses of white wine (I know I said no booze until I got back into The Pants, but have you met MY CHILDREN? And did you spend the DAY WITH THEM? I didn’t think so).

4. A really yummy dip mix: salsa from a jar? (See why I needed your help, Internet?)

5. How to potty train a three-year-old boy who has no interest in the potty: Aaaannnndd, I’m out. I’ve got nothin’. And frankly, I’m not all that worried–I mean, the kid won’t go to college in diapers. Or even kindergarden. I hope. Right? RIGHT???

  1. That intuition razor is pretty kewl, isn’t it? I bought one at the ST last weekend. On sale and with a coupon! Yeah!

I’m trying bribery about that potty training thing. I told him I’d take him to White Water Bay if he’d pee and poop in the potty. We’ll see.

  2. Is that the one that has lotion in it, too? Doesn’t it get sticky?

Long Island Ice Tea!! I LOVE those things - and I haven’t had one this summer. Better get me out there. I’ve bookmarked that recipe, though, for the time when I have more liquor than a bottle of gin in the house. Which may be never.

Uh, that’s a kinda big and indirect motivation…generally something more immediate, works better. (As I’m sure you know, and you’re being ironic, just like me.)

  3. The good news is - the older the child the faster they learn. Not to scare you - but my oldest was a month shy of 4 - yes 4 whole years old before we were successful. And he was almost fully trained in a week.

    good luck!

  4. Mary P: the Intuition razor has the block of lathery stuff around the razor (good lord that’s a horrible description–can anyone do better?). It doesn’t get sticky, and it’s a remarkably close and nick-free shave. Welcome to my extra girly mommy blog!

  5. Link to the description of the Intuition Razor.

  6. Oh, I like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock too…. But what I’m really waiting for, oh girly-girl, is everyone’s favorite deoderant. (Did I spell that right? I always have to just write “pit stick” on the shopping list because I can never spell deoderant… and everyone knows it is important to have proper spelling and punctuation on a shopping list.)

And, to continue with the ‘products” conversation because that just seems to be where I am today… I got this Neutrogena nail stuff this weekend and I really liked it the one time I used it before it disappeared… Oh, I know, better check the travel coffee mug drawer….

  7. Okay, Homestead, here it is–my favoirte deoderant (I don’t know how to spell that, either): I use CertainDri, which is one of those aluminum chlorosomethingorother formulas that seals the pores off. I love it, despite the fact that I will probably end up with Alzheimer’s from the aluminum. I’m a HUGE stress sweater (did ANYONE really want to know that?) and this is pretty much all that works for me. Keeps me fresh as a daisy!

Anyone else have a pit stick that they love?
