I thought you might want to see what I’ve been doing all week

Here’s what Boy Scouts looked like last night.

Henry loves his uniform, even without the patches. Frankly, the amount of polyester in that shirt makes me itch every time I get near him. But that smile makes me so happy.

And this is for Chris, who called as I was on the way to the nail salon today and said, “I haven’t talked to another adult ALL DAY.” And then suggested that I take pictures during my pedicure, to entertain her.

The Internet does NOT need pictures of my feet, and I would rather entertain her with wine, honestly. But this is the best I can do.

   School uniform - scout uniform - what s great smile. Oh, welcome to the world of Scouting. My husband and my son are both Eagle Scouts and my husband has been a Scoutmaster for over 20 years. Personally, the whole camping thing…I don’t get it…but his troop always seems to have a great time!

   I just had this incredible urge to come visit. It was really weird.

   Now I must step away from the laptop or else I’ll be on the next flight out to OKC and that would be bad.

   And I used to think that you just WROTE about drinking wine so often but you weren’t really drinking it… now I am starting to believe you really ARE drinking it every time you say… and that makes me feel good about all the wine I drink, too.

   I remember those Cub Scout days well! For us it’s Boy Scouts. I wish I had a tally for every dollar we’ve spent on uniforms/books/dues/trips. Wait…no I don’t. I might cry.

    And forget the feet. Forget the pedicure too; any respectable pedicurist would take one look at those clodhoppers and tell me to march my carcass down to PetSmart.
