I hear Chicago is cold

Congratulations to Erin, who said, “OOH! I like the Thermacheck in the Aruba Aqua because if I have to wear a fleece, I’m gonna be wishing I was in Aruba!”  Me too, Erin.

(Email me and I’ll put you in touch with the Lands’ End people!)

I’m tossing a bunch of random things in a suitcase this morning, because I’m leaving for Chicago this afternoon.   And you will NEVER guess why!

(But you have to go over here to find out.  It’s worth the click — there are PICTURES, you all!)

Lands’ End graciously provided a chance for one Friday Playdate reader to win a fleece pullover. Thanks!

  1. SO exciting! I love Thanksgiving too ~ I love the idea of it, and I love that all I have to do is cook. No filling stockings or baskets. Have fun!

  2. OMG, I am dying laughing. This seems like the MOST random thing to be doing in Chicago. But fun! And entertaining! No doubt hilarious!

    Good luck!

  3. Your reason for going to Chicago is The Coolest Reason to be Going Anywhere. Ever! I’ve always wanted to call the hotline. This year? I’m totally calling! And I’m not even making a turkey!

  4. Ok so where were you in the pics? Heh.

I never have to call them because I usually always use the Reynold’s Oven Bags. Though last year, I could have called them because first I couldn’t find any of the 50,000 bags I’d bought and when I did finally find one box, the directions were missing.

    *sigh*

the turkey did end up being delicious regardless.

  5. So one day you’re trying on coats with a personal shopper at J. Crew, and the next you’re pulling slimy giblets out of a turkey’s gullet. Nice skill set, Susan!
You’re like Martha Stewart crossed with Stacy London. Or would you rather be Trinny crossed with Nigella? Or Heloise crossed with Mr. Blackwell, may he rest in peace?
