I could just Twitter this, but I will share it with you instead
Wade taught Charlie to change the toilet paper roll tonight. At Charlie’s request.
Charlie’s future wife (or life partner, let’s not be closed minded) will be delighted.
I am just kind of stunned.

Wade taught him to put it on OVER and NOT under, yes?

Well done Wade!
Does he hold seminars, and will he teach my husband next?
There is some kind of mental man block at our house, and we end up with a little parade of empty rolls on the bathroom counter from my husband, until I finally get fed up and throw them all away in disgust and refill the roll and the back-up basket below.

And you wonder why I adore both Wade and Charlie. I adore Henry too but I will adore him even more when he starts sharing his fries.

Way to go, Wade! He’s a keeper! (And WTG Charlie for even asking.) I had a little meltdown about this an hour ago. I think I have changed every.single TP roll since I have been married.

We are all looking at this from the wrong view point, although it works to our advantage. I am sure Charlie saw this as an engineering problem (how did that roll get in there?) He’s one smart cookie and kudos if he also did it to please his mom.

That’s great! My husband has a little trick where he doesn’t actually leave it empty - He leaves it with two squares. Very helpful.

I envy Charlie’s wife! Just last night, I marveled with dismay the state of the TP in my bathroom: an empty roll core hung on the holder with the new roll - started - resting on the book pile below. We have the hook style holder! Slide on, slide off! No springy thing to figure out! Still, actually changing the roll seems to elude my boys.

Can I adopt Charlie? It’s pretty rough here being the only person in 5 person household who’s mastered that particular task.

my first thought was also that it was OVER and not UNDER. because we all know that under is not the way to go.

The BoyChild and I are the only ones in the house who actually change the TP roll. And he criticizes me if I don’t put it on the “right” way!

So you have TWO males who know how to do that? ‘Cos I have SEVEN who have yet to learn no matter how much I try. (granted two of them are under age 3 but still…)

I am totally jealous! I am the only person in my house who is apparently capable of doing this task. If you tell me your husband takes the garbage out too, I may pass out.
