I broke my arm a couple of years ago and after being casted from Thanksgiving til the week after New Year's... I had major cast-arm, and something that resembled the worst peeling suntan of your life, only just on one arm. I was also the bad, bad person that couldn't stand the itch, and stuck things like plastic forks and pencil ends in the top of my cast to just.make.it.stop. Hooray for the removal of the cast. Sorry the kidlets are sick again. It’s not only the growing boys that have fascination with “cast-arm”.
