I was 12 and it was absolutely horrible. I was rushed into emergency surgery a week after the break and they tried to fix the break with three screws. It took months (literally) to recover but now, I am fine. I do not remember the pain, I only remember that it hurt and that it was terrible. Charlie will be back on his feet and running around in no time and you will be telling him not to hit things with his cast. Exactly 10 years ago I broke my ankle in three spots.
