I had to take Valium just to get through the meetings. We never got as far as the Magic Badge because I tried to hot glue the badges on. After the pine wood derby debacle, where I called in sick to work so that I could get his car down to the required weight and had a mild breakdown requiring more than one Valium, the thrill wore off for him.
